Lelant is a quiet village 3.5 miles away from St.Ives and is renowned for its greenery, luscious Cornish shrubs and wildlife. Near enough to St.Ives and Hayle with easy transport by road, bus and train; it still feels like a quiet haven and is a relaxing retreat.

There are two train stations- the nearest is Lelant which has trains to St.Ives morning and evening and Lelant Saltings which is a picturesque 10 minute walk and has regular trains which run all day. The journey along the stunning coastline along St.Ives Bay must be one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world.

Green Trees is set back on one of the loveliest lanes in the area. You might occasionally wake to twittering birds from the estuary but that's about all. There is a local pub literally round the corner which offers food all day and a short walk down the Salting along side of the estuary brings you to Scarlet Wines- a cafe, restaurant, deli, wine shop and deli.

The glorious Porth Kidney sands and Hayle estuary are a 10 minute stroll away and you will sometimes feel like you have the bay to yourself as it is so quiet and secluded. Here you can take the coastpath for an hour's walk to St.Ives, or the opposite direction towards Gwithian Towans and Godrevy or just sunbathe on the golden dunes.

There is an 18 hole golf course a 10 minute walk away set near the dunes with majestic views of St. Ives Bay.
The RSPB Hayle Estuary reserve is renowned for its spectular array of thousands of birds who migrate here and there are many walks that take in the estuary, beach and coastpath.
